  • What makes this applicant's use of tobacco industry documents unique and innovative for policy, advocacy, or research?
  • How has the nominee's work with tobacco industry documents impacted public health or public policy initiatives?
  • Describe any "lessons learned" that are applicable to other potential uses of documents in research, policy or advocacy?
  • How were the challenges faced by this applicant relevant to advancing or promoting the use of tobacco industry documents?

Two Letters of Support
A minimum of two letters of support must be included in the application. One of the letters of support must be from someone other than the direct supervisor/boss of the nominee or any employee of the organization/company for which the nominee is a member of the board of directors. Organization letters should be co-signed by leaders of the group. Letter writers are encouraged to include relevant quotes, anecdotes, and experiences that help describe the impact of his/her use of tobacco documents in research, policy, or advocacy. Support letters accompanying online nominations should be submitted electronically via the website or email. If electronic copies of the letters are not available, they can be mailed to the address listed above.
